#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. In the famous village of Teriberka on the Kola Peninsula, by the end of 2025, a Mayak service and excursion center will be created with a souvenir shop and a cafe serving northern cuisine. More than six million rubles will be invested in the project by a resident of the Arctic zone – the Pomorsky Dvor company.
According to the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic (KRDV), travelers will open a tour sales office, a souvenir shop, equipment rental and a cafe where tourists can try Arctic cuisine – kulebyaka with halibut, pies with cod, salmon, lingonberries, blueberries and cloudberries , tea from tundra herbs, berry compotes, fruit drinks.
The concept of the project and excursion offers were developed taking into account winter and summer types of recreation. Guests can go on one-day or multi-day tours to anywhere in the Kola peninsula watch northern lights, visit local attractions: a frozen warder, a ship graveyard, dinosaur eggs, a meteorological station and others. And of course, the filming locations of the Leviathan movie by Andrey Zvyagintsev, which won Best Screenplay at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2015, Teriberka even entered the top 20 best travel destinations according to National Geographic magazine.
“Turnkey excursions vary from cheap ones to premium with boats and helicopters. For fishing enthusiasts, we organize flights, accommodation, a license, equipment and going to sea. We will provide extreme sportsmen with snowmobiles, ATVs. There will also be exclusive bus tours, which no one else conducts in the village”, said Natalya Shinkaruk, the Pomorsky Dvor LLC head.
The main funds will be invested in the construction of the center itself with an interior in the style of a fishing village. The center will be located near the road to the Battery Falls. The visiting card of the project will be a lighthouse with a souvenir shop, where travelers can buy products of bone carvers, reindeer skins, northern berry jam. The products will be supplied by local manufacturers.
As for Krasnoyarsk region, the Arctic residents are implementing ten projects. The most popular destination is Arctic tourism. For example, in the area of Valkovskoye Highway in Norilsk, they want to build a Malinka family recreation center, where guests can go hiking and cycling in summer, play football, volleyball, ride boats and catamarans, ski and snowmobile in winter. The plans include the construction of recreation houses made of eco-friendly materials, a large gazebo, a playground and a bath complex with the only outdoor spa bath tub in Norilsk.
Another investment project is the development of the Gorizont suburban recreation complex located near Oganer (a Norilsk district). Also, a hotel complex is planned to be built in the central district of Norilsk.
Recall that more than 380 enterprises and individual entrepreneurs have already become residents of the Arctic. The process of obtaining the status of an Arctic resident is simplified as much as possible, you can apply on the Arctic Russia portal. Residents receive tax benefits and other preferences.
Earlier, the This Is Taimyr reported that the authorities would support northerners’ projects in the Arctic Hectare program. Any resident of Russia can participate in the Arctic Hectare program. We also told the story of a metallurgist from Monchegorsk, who decided to build a rabbit and bird farm in the Arctic.
