#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. To hold a mass holiday – sports, ethnic or gastronomic – one can get a subsidy from the state in the amount of up to 100 million rubles. The Rostourism federal tourism agency has launched a new support measure within the Tourism and Hospitality Industry national project.
In August, applications were received from the regions for subsidizing mass events in tourism, which are scheduled for 2023. As part of this measure, Rostourism will support major cultural, entertainment, gastronomic and sports events that can become attraction points for tourists. Among the main requirements – according to the plan, the event has to be attended by at least ten thousand people, and admission to it has to be free.
For events with a planned number of spectators from 10 thousand to 25 thousand people, the maximum subsidy will be 50 million rubles, and for events with a planned number of spectators of more than 25 thousand people – 100 million.
With these funds, it will be possible to organize a venue for the event, equip it, develop a creative concept and program, invite an anchor artist or other media person, or organize an advertising campaign for the event in the media.
Event tourism is very promising for the tourist flows growth. Visiting various concerts, festivals and sports competitions can become both an independent goal of the trip and an additional pleasant impression of the trip.

In autumn, a portal dedicated to the Taimyr tourist opportunities will be launched.
