Following the results of the First All-Russian Award in the field of youth tourism development More Than a Travel, the Krasnoyarsk region won the special title More Than a Region and entered the top 5 best territories in the country for the development of youth tourism, tourism potential and the hospitality industry.
Active tourism in the region is being developed by a project office – it includes representatives of government, tourism agencies, universities, businesses, the tourism industry, volunteers and public organizations.
“The Krasnoyarsk region is actively implementing the Rosmolodezh federal youth organization’s program More Than a Travel and creating conditions for attracting young people to the region, exploring local attractions, comfortable relaxation and meeting new people. Young people participate in acceleration programs, forums, attend lectures from experts, regional seminars, festivals, competitions and tourist rallies”, explained the regional government.
The region hosts various events on the history, culture, and architecture of Krasnoyarsk with the participation of young people, as well as hiking trips to the Torgashinsky ridge, Nikolaevskaya Sopka, and the Krasnoyarskiye Stolby national park. Work on this type of tourism development will continue within the new state program until 2030.
Let us remind you that at the end of July a summer tourism festival will be held at lake Tabornoye and the Four Winds tourist center opened in Norilsk. We also reported that our site’s Russian-speaking version the news portal Severny Gorod is among the eight best regional media in the country.
