#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The news portal Severny Gorod (eng.: Northern City) took part in the competition for websites and accounts on social media networks and corporate media projects for the first time and got high praise from experts.
Since 2010, Russia has been hosting the Golden Press Fund competition, which is significant and status-bearing for the Russian journalistic community. It is conducted by the publishing house Journalist with the support of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications, the Ministry of Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
For 13 years, the Golden Press Fund distinction has become a tool for increasing competitiveness and a criterion for assessing the professional responsibility of printed publications to society. It is assigned based on the decision of an independent expert council. And this year, for the first time, the organizers established the Golden Fund 3.0 insignia for electronic media.
The purpose of the competition is to analyze the digital environment, identify regional trends, improve the quality of periodicals in connection with the transition to multimedia content in the context of digitalization, provide assistance in the implementation of the national program for the development and support of reading, and the formation of a unified cultural space of the country.
More than 100 Russian publications took part in the competition. All media resources underwent an examination of the concept and brand, content on the website and social networks, design, monetization tools and distribution channels.
According to the results of an independent audit, Severny Gorod was included into the eight best publications in the country awarded the Golden Fund 3.0 distinction. Experts highly appreciated the concept, positioning and principles of operation of the Norilsk city portal, efficiency, quality of information sources, the ratio of news and large forms, user content and other indicators.
The ceremony of awarding the insignia Golden Press Fund and Golden Fund 3.0 took place at the annual media business forum. Along with other winners of the competition, Severny Gorod got the right to display the insignia graphic image throughout 2024.
