The ability to speak begins with the ability to listen, feel, share your experience, be yourself, be heard, conserve energy – the audience of the Obogatitelnaya Fabrika (eng.: Enrichment Factory) and the speaker together “built a bridge” that leads to acceptance of each other.
Announcing a meeting with Kira Altman, radio and television journalist, screenwriter, documentarian, leading columnist for Business FM, author of the Altman TV channel and the Altman Touch podcast, winner of the Moscow International Advertising Festival, author of programs on the RBC TV channel Severny Gorod he designated the upcoming event as a master-level class for those who can speak. And Kira herself clarified: for those “who wants to negotiate without words, always be heard and feel good after every conversation”.
Our guest became a teacher three years ago, having created a small corporate university in which the educational course is based on the practice of daily speaking into Kira Altman’s microphone. She got into the media field as a teenager, and over three decades she has accumulated enormous professional knowledge.
“Dialogue is a bridge, not self-affirmation of the parties”, repeats Kira Altman. “But don’t you know that? And how often do you apply knowledge consciously? Let’s go over all our skills in making dialogue happen”, the speaker invites us to a conversation.
Everything is simple here: willpower and no concessions. Fanaticism, perhaps, is also unnecessary. Forty minutes of Pilates before breakfast, ten minutes of complete silence after a working day to recuperate, reading a good book out loud – not only to children, but also to yourself. An interesting project. A new “bridge”, beautifully and competently built.
In the case of Kira Altman, a bridge is a dialogue with an intelligent and inquisitive interlocutor. The dialogue which has been conducted by the Obogatitelnaya Fabrika club-lecture with Norilsk residents for ten years.
