#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Krasnoyarsk region’s government expects that the tourist flow to the region by the end of this year will amount to 2.2 million trips. By the end of 2022, this figure was just a little over two million. This was reported by Yulia Filatova, deputy head of the regional governor’s administration.
According to Filatova, the increase in tourist flow to the region is going to be ten percent.
“The region has begun to create infrastructure, hotels and display venues are appearing, and there are more unique products”, added Filatova.
The tourism sector is also developing in Norilsk: in the future, it is planned to open a visitor center in the city, which will become a project office for tourism development and a popular public space. This year, two presented initiatives of the Norilsk Development Agency – From the Depths to NA-GORA and The Attraction of Taimyr – reached the national finals of the X All-Russian tourism award Route of the Year. The Arctic cultural center promotes Taimyr at the Russian and international levels and much more.
