#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Another six technology parks in the Krasnoyarsk region will be created in Nazarovsky, Yemelyanovsky, Yeniseisky, Minusinsky, Boguchansky and Kansky districts. They will have modern waste sorting complexes, composting facilities, disposal systems, and waste processing facilities.
A meeting of the public expert council on environmental issues under the governor of the region was held in Krasnoyarsk. Governor Mikhail Kotyukov noted that improving the environmental situation in the region is an absolute priority for the regional authorities.
During the meeting, the council members focused on reforming solid municipal waste (MSW) management, the governor and the Krasnoyarsk region government’s press service reported.
Chairman of the public expert council on environmental issues under the region’s governor and chairman of the all-Russian public organization for the protection and conservation of natural resources Russian Ecological Society Rashid Ismailov emphasized that now all regions of the country face the important task of joining the new federal project Closed Cycle Economy within the Ecological Well-Being national project and fulfilling the tasks set by the Russia president, namely: by 2030, sorting 100 percent of municipal waste, reducing its disposal by up to 50 percent and reusing at least 25 percent of production and consumption waste.
Thus, work has already begun on the design of the first eco-technopark in the Nazarovsky district. Work on the other technology objects will begin in 2025.
During the meeting, a presentation of several projects in the field of solid municipal waste management took place. Special attention was paid to solving the problem of solid municipal waste management in hard-to-reach areas.
Earlier, Nornickel’s Polar Division allocated 29.4 billion rubles for the implementation of environmental protection measures.
