#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The plan for the Taimyr Day holding this year has been adjusted. It was decided to cancel mass celebrations, concerts and fireworks. However, separate events will be held, including with the participation of indigenous peoples’ representatives.
By tradition, in the first ten days of December, the regional festivals Revival of the Native Language Through Everyone and Taimyr Workshop will take place. The Arctic and Siberia Through the Aborigine Lens regional audiovisual competition results will be summed up.
The Taimyr Museum of Local Lore will host a meeting dedicated to the Russia Peoples Cultural Heritage Year completion. Taimyr College will celebrate its 85th anniversary this year. The anniversary celebration will take place at the Taimyr Ice Arena on December 8.
On the Taimyr holiday itself, on December 10, the solemn opening of the city Christmas tree will take place on the square near the ice arena. The Taimyr municipal district’s head Evgeny Vershinin will meet with Taimyr honorary citizens.
The events dedicated to the Taimyr Day will end with a hockey charity match. All proceeds will be used to purchase humanitarian aid to the mobilized Taimyr people.
Earlier we said that the dance ensemble Taimyr will represent the Krasnoyarsk region at the First Arctic Delphic Games.
