#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The certification system for goods produced in the Arctic zone is registered with Rosstandart. It’s referred just to products from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) so far. The new system is capable of consolidating the business community and improving the quality of sales of Arctic products to foreign markets.
It will also allow the creation of uniform standards for the quality, promotion and marketing of goods produced in the Arctic regions. The northern regions, due to their remoteness, lose out in competition for foreign markets; in the Arctic regions, there is a problem of selling the products of folk craftsmen who make souvenirs and clothes.
However, in the foreseeable future, the brand is going to become interregional. What we mean is goods made from Arctic natural raw materials, products of reindeer breeding, fishing, souvenirs and clothing.
According to experts, the system has a high potential for commercialization, replicability and low cost of self-service. In the future, under this brand, it’s planned to establish an ecosystem that includes test sites for products manufactured in the Arctic.
In addition to the above, large-scale craft forum will be held in Dudinka in April. Moreover, the products of indigenous craftsmen will be sold on a special website.
