#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Starting on March 11, the Norilsk Museum, as a public branch of the Museum of Victory, will unveil three photo documentary exhibitions as part of the Territory of Victory project, commemorating the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
In the main building of the museum on Leninsky prospect, 14, the exhibition titled Victory Day will be featured. This exhibition highlights key moments in the history of both the Great Patriotic War and World War II. Through documents and photographs, it explores the main factors behind the Victory, significant battles, and the heroism of the Soviet people.
Two additional exhibitions will take place at the Talnah branch of the Norilsk Museum. The Victory Creators exhibition will focus on remarkable Soviet military leaders, eleven of whom were honored with the highest military award of the USSR – the Order of Victory, as reported by the museum’s press service.
The project Marshal of Victory: Path and Destiny pays tribute to the legendary commander Georgy Zhukov, a four-time Hero of the Soviet Union. These exhibitions will offer a unique opportunity to learn about the development of military leadership within the Soviet military science tradition.
The exhibitions will be open until June 30.
