#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. On January 24, the State Museum of the Arctic and Antarctic is launching a new project, Polar Embassy, which will introduce St. Petersburg residents and guests of the Northern capital to the Arctic cities, their life and bright tourist attractions.
The first region that visitors will get to know is Taimyr, the city of Norilsk, the pearl of the peninsula – the Putorana plateau.
“Fascinating landscapes, waterfalls, lakes. The Arctic is not only in ice. In the summer, you can see a great riot of colors and a variety of natural landscapes”, the event is announced on the museum’s social media page.
A video is also provided here and it is reported that the institution presents augmented reality tools implemented in the GlazPutorana360 project.
VR glasses and content were provided by the Norilsk company Tours to the Putorana plateau/Putorana Territory. Information materials were provided by the Norilsk tourism development center.
The Polar Embassy is open every Friday in the Arctic Nature hall. Visits are by museum entrance tickets.
