The term ESG means environmental, social and corporate governance. Among environmental factors, Norilsk Nickel most effectively levels the risks associated with climate change.
“The company achieves this by gradually reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing the share of recycled and reused water, and increasing the use of renewable energy”, the Norilsk Nickel press office said.
The experts also noted the stability of the board of directors and the ownership structure, as well as a well-thought-out approach to risk management at Norilsk Nickel. In social terms, the company demonstrates a high level of responsibility to employees, providing them with competitive salaries and an extensive social package.
As a reminder, climate change is one of the company’s priorities: Nornickel has worked out three action scenarios.
