#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. By the Nature Reserves and National Parks Day, the Taimyr Nature Reserves directorate’s arsenal of souvenirs was replenished with branded gifts from Nornickel – these are fountain pens, several types of calendars, bags and key rings.
The Taimyr Reserves directorate’s PR-manager Stanislav Stryuchkov said:
“We give small but necessary souvenirs to volunteers both in the process of work and after summing up the results of each of the many projects, we encourage the creativity of kids from kindergartens and schoolchildren striving for knowledge about nature with gifts. There are still many areas of activity where our souvenir products are important, but they are not always enough, especially when our educational projects become truly massive and hundreds or even thousands of people participate in them!”
The Taimyr Reserves directorate thanked the Nornickel Polar Division’s Public Relations Department for support in the organization’s environmental education activities. For many years, the city-forming enterprise has been helping the Taimyr Reserves in solving many important problems.
Thanks to the Nornickel Polar Division’s cooperation and support, many scientific expeditions are successfully implemented in Taimyr, security raids and rare animals monitoring are carried out, man-made garbage left in the pre-protected era is removed.
Earlier it became known that Taimyr tourists help scientists collect valuable information. We also wrote that the Taimyr researchers have published a new book about the flora and fauna of the peninsula.
