State Secretary, vice president of the company Dmitry Pristanskov, speaking at the plenary session, noted that for Nornickel the global trend towards the transition to a green economy is a unique opportunity to be one of the key players in the metals market necessary for the formation of a low-carbon economy as a whole and environmentally friendly transport in particular.
“This is especially relevant in view of the global ESG agenda, when the company has the opportunity to obtain additional positive investment effect from the realization of climatic risks due to the changing structure of demand for metals, as well as the use of additives in the industry”, the Nornickel said.
As a reminder, last Russian industrial week Nornickel’s Technological Breakthrough program was awarded.
Earlier, Nornickel announced the Palladium Challenge competition. We also said that the company completed the modernization of the northernmost hydroelectric power station in Russia – Ust-Hantayskaya.
