#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. A real gastronomic holiday awaits residents and guests of Norilsk this weekend – the city will host the fourth street food festival Sever. The most delicious event of this year is dedicated to the modern Scandinavian cuisine.

Norilsk residents will be able to taste Danish butebrods (smörrebrods) with different types of meat and fish in combination with fresh vegetables and unusual sauces on July 10 and 11 from 10 am to 10 pm.
The houses of the festival will be located on two sites: near the building of the Norilsk Museum and on the square in front of the sports and entertainment complex Arena.

The menu of the Sever gastronomic festival, which includes several dozens of dishes, was developed by Norilsk restaurateurs together with a team of the New Nordic Cuisine style popularizers – invited chefs from Moscow, Arhangelsk, Chelyabinsk and Kirov.

Thus, the guests of the event will taste tyunbredrulle with venison meatballs, smörrebred with smoked deer and soaked lingonberries, shawarma with a chicken leg in a northern marinade and other dishes.
According to the Norilsk Development Agency, six establishments will take part in the gastrofestival: Burger Ring cafe, Sushi LAGUNA, Katya Kamoza confectionery, CoffeeStory coffee shop, Grill-Farm restaurant and Sanremo.
The Norilsk people will choose the best participant by voting on the official website gastrosever.ru. The winner will receive a souvenir from the Sever collaboration collection, which combines modern design and technology with traditional techniques and motives of the Taimyr indigenous peoples’ culture.
A large-scale gastronomic event is organized by the NDA with the support of Nornickel and the municipality. Recall that last year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Sever food festival was held in a new format.
Earlier we wrote that the Day of the Fisherman will be celebrated in Taimyr, the guests of the holiday will taste the dishes of the national cuisine.
