#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. On Taimyr, the Fisherman’s Day will be celebrated on a grand scale. Competitions, quizzes, concerts and northern cuisine await guests. Festive events in the villages start today, July 2.
The anglers from the village of Potapovo will be the first to celebrate it. On July 9, residents of Levinskiye Peski, Ust-Avam, Volochanka and Hantayskoye Lake will take over the baton, and on July 10, anglers from all villages of Hatanga and Karaul will receive congratulations.
The administration of Taimyr said that the main festive venues would be located in the villages of Potapovo, Heta and Nosok.
Concerts, competitions, contests, quizzes, exhibitions of arts and crafts, as well as tasting of national cuisine are waiting for the guests of the holiday.
“The traditional competition A Fisherman of Taimyr will also be held. Representatives of the indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North registered in the settlement where the competition is held can take part in it. The winner is the participant who caught the largest fish in terms of weight and size. The main prize is a boat motor. The rest of the winners will also receive diplomas and valuable gifts”, the administration said.
Earlier we talked about the fact that the indigenous peoples now have a news portal.
