#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Seven exciting and diverse routes will be available to a wide range of residents. Tourism professionals will discuss new trends and exchange experiences at the educational meeting.
Traditionally, International Tourism Day is celebrated in Russia every year on September 27. In Norilsk, this event was supported by the Norilsk Development Agency, the Tourism Development Center, the Nornickel company, and the city administration.
“From September 23 to 29, Norilsk residents and the city guests will be able to visit seven exciting tourist activities as well as interesting natural locations in the immediate vicinity. People will see 12 waterfalls including the Olor river waterfall, visit the Polar food plant and the Norilsk brewing company. They will get to know the history of the city and appreciate its unique architecture”, said Anastasia Gubanova, the Tourism Development Center director.
You can learn about the tourism potential of Taimyr, excursions and travel on the website of the Arctic Tourism Cluster – here you can choose a route to suit any taste.
“We have been organizing such events together with the Tourism Development Center, the city administration and the Nornickel company for the third year now. And if initially these were mainly sightseeing excursions around the city, now we are trying to go beyond the usual. Now we are ready to talk about various natural locations and industrial tourism points. This year, the program dedicated to the International Tourism Day will be useful not only for city residents, but also for the professional tourism community. A large-scale educational event will be held for tourism industry professionals. We are bringing to the territory an expert with 16 years of experience in the field of service and hospitality – this is Anastasia Petyankina. She will talk about trends in the tourism service sector that will make it better. We all know that we are now living in a time when impressions and the most precious thing we have are emotions, and tourism, especially in Taimyr, is more than emotions. The tourism community will also work in groups and exchange life experiences to make the next tourist season even better than this year”, explained Sofia Milezhik, communications manager at the Norilsk Development Agency.
