#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Out of 55 thousand people, 300 of the strongest participants made it to the final of the 21st season of the all-Russian competition My Country – My Russia, a project of the presidential platform Russia is the Country of Opportunities, including five residents of the Krasnoyarsk region.
The contestants’ works were assessed by three thousand experts from all the country regions.
Five participants from the Krasnoyarsk region made it to the final, including Vera Nikolayeva, a student of the Norilsk pedagogical college.
Vera Nikolayeva presented the project Study of the Taimyr Atmospheric Air State Using the Lichen Indication Method.
“Vera and I have been working on the topic of Taimyr ecology for the fifth year now. Before we started studying lichens, we conducted water and soil research, and now we decided to turn to lichens, because they are the best indicator of air purity”, said the student’s scientific supervisor, natural science teacher, and candidate of psychological sciences Larisa Andreyeva.
It should be noted that Larisa Andreyeva’s students have won regional and federal competitions more than once. And this time, the teacher did not hide her pride that her joint work with Vera was appreciated.
“It’s nice to be in the top ten out of such a huge number of applicants. On December 1, we will have an online defense, and we hope for success!” concluded Larisa Andreyeva.
Earlier, This Is Taimyr reported that it would take about ten years to clean up cape Chelyuskin.
