#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Dudinka is getting prepared for the New Year. Now the contractor is cutting ice for sculptures at the city’s main Christmas tree. The symbol of the holiday will be traditionally placed on the square near the Taimyr ice arena.
The arrangement of the central New Year’s site in Dudinka will begin in mid-November. This year, the square is going to be decorated with illuminated ice compositions: the symbol of the year is a Bull, a photo zone is a sleigh with deer, the Happy New Year! inscription and a small slide Snowman. If the epidemic situation allows, the opening will take place on the first Saturday of December, the press service of the Dudinka administration said.
Festive illumination on buildings, garland banners and decorative light panels on street lighting poles will be switched on in the city on December 1.
In Norilsk, the preparation of ice for the New Year’s site began a few days ago. Traditionally, it opens in the second half of December, although last year the opening took place earlier than usual.
