#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Korney Chukovsky’s well-known lines have been translated into the Evenki language by Tatiana Bolina-Ukocher, a leading expert in Evenki culture at the Taimyr House of Folk Art.
In 2024, the Yakut publishing house Ayar launched a print run of 800 copies titled Dylkon-Tsokotuhan, as reported on the Dudinka administration’s official website.
This book is meant for family reading. The fairy tale retains the original’s joyful mood, and its simple rhyme makes it easy to remember. The bright illustrations add more charm to the book.
Tatiana Bolina-Ukocher is well-known in Taimyr as an advocate and a specialist in Evenki language and culture. She has published numerous books and educational materials, helping to preserve and promote the native language.
Earlier, This Is Taimyr reported that reindeer herders and hunters would receive support for economic activities, to improve their quality of life.
