#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The premiere of the series Minute of Silence took place on Channel One. The author of the idea was the president of the Nornickel company, the head of Interros Vladimir Potanin, the director of the film was Ilya Shehovtsov. The roles are played by Evgeny Tsyganov, Olga Lerman, Artem Tkachenko, Andrey Smirnov, Sergey Gazarov and other famous actors known to Russian viewers.
The title of the series refers to the term rescuers. A minute of silence is announced by rescuers while clearing rubble, when work stops for 60 seconds to hear the voices of the victims.
The earthquake is the basis of the story – a Russian businessman goes to the Middle East, where he finds himself in the epicenter of the natural disaster and loses his memory. He needs to remember who he is and what he does.
The premiere screening took place at the Pioner cinema. Film critics were shown the first two episodes, told about the plot of the series and some of the film creation nuances.
“I am very glad that the Minute of Silence film team, which was released with the support of Interros, managed to discard old cliches and offer viewers a new image of a modern Russian businessman: with all his doubts, internal contradictions, but, most importantly, with his focus on creation, readiness to overcome obstacles and the ability to make the right moral choice”, said Vladimir Potanin.
“The initiator of the project is Vladimir Potanin, who rightly assumed that the 90s discredited the image of the Russian businessman. And it is thanks to these people that the Russian economy is holding up quite well against the backdrop of sanctions. This fair desire to rehabilitate the image of an entrepreneur was realized in the project”, said Konstantin Ernst, Channel One’s general director.
The geography of the series is impressive: Moscow, Norilsk and even Syria.
The series can be viewed on Channel One, the website 1tv.ru, and on partner digital platforms.
Earlier, Vladimir Potanin spoke about metal production in Russia. This Is Taimyr also wrote that the head of Nornickel was awarded a medal for many years of charity.
