#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The participants in the discussion were linguistic scientists, teachers, representatives of public organizations, youth associations from Dagestan, Khakassia, Buryatia, Altai, Bashkortostan, Chechnya, Mari El, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District, Chelyabinsk region and other regions.
“It is necessary to take into account the subculture under the influence of which the perception of the world was formed among modern adolescents and young people. They are ready to respect the traditions of neighboring peoples only if they understand their national traits – their superpower”, said Daria Ekman, head of the multifunctional agency Peoples of the North.
She also noted that a fascination with anime, comics and the atmosphere of superhero movies has become an important part of the culture of the 2000s generation.
In order to convey information to adolescents, the Country of Heroes program has been implemented since 2019. Therefore, an Internet portal with real and literary heroes of the indigenous peoples of Russia has been created. One site will post articles about heroes of war and peace, as well as graphic novels and comics about fictional heroes who inherited the superpower and experience of their peoples.
“Now we are negotiating with artists about comics based on the legends of the Evenks, Nanai, Yukaghirs and Nivkhs. In all cases, comics tell about the adventures of modern young representatives of these peoples, show national character traits that help to overcome difficulties”, said Daria Ekman.
She expressed confidence that the project will help many young representatives of the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East in self-identification.
Earlier we said that the cartoon Children of the Arctic will be dubbed in English.
