Indian summer came to Norilsk

The heat came on the weekend and, according to the forecast, will last until September 9.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Warm weather has been observed in Norilsk for the last two days. Though with a strong wind, but Norilsk residents are not afraid of it: Leninsky prospect closed for transport and plus 16 degrees are conducive to walking.

According to forecasters, in the coming days in the city, the thermometer will show to 15 degrees Celsius.

“In the next three days, we expect light rains and winds of 7-12 meters per second, at times with gusts. Daytime air temperature is 9-14 above zero on Tuesday and plus 10-15 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday”, said the forecaster on duty at the Taimyr Center for Hydrometeorology.

After September 9, the air temperature will gradually decrease: from plus 10 degrees on Thursday to plus 7 on Sunday. In this case, it will be rainy.

According to the long-term forecast of Gismeteo.ru, the first snow will fall on September 27, and then frost will come.

Earlier, we told that scientists predicted natural anomalies due to global warming. We also reported that twilight nights will last until September 15 at the latitude of Norilsk.
