#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Global warming can cause natural phenomena that are not typical for certain regions. This was stated by the head of the Meteorology and Climatology Department of the Lomonosov Moscow State University Geography Faculty Alexander Kislov.
“The climatic regions will remain as they were. But each of them will have its own aspects, dangerous phenomena. For example, in the Arctic, there is no large precipitation in summer. Drizzling rain usually. And now there are powerful showers, which are associated with the fact that warm air masses penetrate there from temperate latitudes, which was not the case before”, the scientist explained.
According to Alexander Kislov, in all climatic regions one should expect weather anomalies and prepare for their consequences.
The main reason for climate change, according to one of the scientific versions, is carbon dioxide emissions, a significant part of which is due to aircraft.
“The number of flights over continents is increasing dramatically and entails a huge amount of carbon dioxide emissions. In general, the world’s population is growing, which entails environmental problems”, the expert summed up.
Earlier, we wrote that global warming caused a shift in the earth’s axis. We also said that scientists have recorded a violation of the Arctic ecosystem due to warming and are worried about the massive melting of the Arctic ice. The Arctic heats up faster than other regions of the planet. Climatologists point out that due to changes in temperatures, the length of the seasons can vary greatly.
