July 01, 2024

He will fly on a two-seater motor paraglider with pilot Igor Potapkin.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Famous traveler Fedor Konyukhov will go to the North Pole again, where he plans to set a new world record, the extreme sportsman’s website reports.

In early July, Fedor Konyukhov and pilot Igor Potapkin will try to set a new world record for flight range on a two-seater motorized paraglider in the high latitudes of the Arctic. The Rosatom state corporation has supplied high-tech materials for the construction.

“The starting point of the new record will be the Franz Josef Land archipelago, where the athletes will be taken by the expedition of the Polar Travel Club on the nuclear icebreaker 50 Let Pobedy. From here, travelers will begin their record-breaking flight towards the geographic North Pole point – 90 degrees north latitude. The launch location will be determined based on the actual ice and weather conditions”, the message says.

Earlier, the traveler spoke about his flight over Taimyr. We also reported that Fedor Konyukhov supported the Clean Arctic. It’s worth adding that our Russian-speaking news portal Severny Gorod has entered the top eight best regional media in the country.
