#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Ancestors’ Rituals Preserving project is one of the My Little Homeland city contest winners. It was implemented in the Taimyr village of Hantayskoye Lake. According to the Dudinka administration, the project’s purpose is the interest in national culture formation, the North peoples’ cultural heritage and traditions development and preservation.
The Evenki ethnic site was well-restrained to conduct rites during the national holidays: they dismantled and replaced the boards of an impromptu plague and inflicted a national ornament on them. New satin ribbons and thematic signs were fixed around the object.
Recall that the My Little Homeland competition is held by the Dudinka administration’s Culture, Youth Policy and Sports Committee to include young people’s initiatives in the villages’ social projects implementation.
Previously, we told that in Dudinka they began to build a large-scale ethnocultural park Tundra Legends.
