In the Krasnoyarsk region, the domestic and inbound tourism development projects implementation competition results were summed up. By the end of the year, 44 projects will receive support totaling 20 million rubles.
The Legends of the Tundra project from Dudinka is among the winners. The organizers of the project will receive 487 thousand rubles from the regional budget.
“We invite tourists to visit the ethnic settlement called Legends of the Tundra and get acquainted with the history and culture of the indigenous peoples of the Far North, with the life and traditions of real reindeer herders”, NIA-Krasnoyarsk quotes project manager Sergey Sizonenko. “The peasant farm was created in 2014 together with the reindeer breeders of the Tuhard tundra; there are more than 10 thousand domesticated reindeer in it”.
Passengers of the Maxim Gorky premium cruise liner, who traveled along the Yenisey from Krasnoyarsk to Dudinka, were among the first to appreciate the exotic tourist product. The ethnic settlement, like the Putorana plateau, is the highlight of the seven-day cruise. The first was a group of 60 people, mainly tourists from Moscow and the Moscow region, as well as from Italy and Germany.
Actress Alena Hmelnitskaya was among the guests who visited Taimyr.
“Today I was in the real tundra for the first time! What a beauty, breathtaking colors! And the lichen, and the deer… lakes of unreal beauty… There are lingonberries and blueberries under your feet”, she wrote on her Instagram page.
“Our tour lasts a few hours. We deliver travelers to the camp, where they get to know the locals, taste the national cuisine. Deer are also of great interest. And in 4-5 hours we come back”, said Sergey Sizonenko.
According to him, a six-seater closed sled, which is attached to a snowmobile, will be purchased with the grant funds to transport tourists to the ethnic camp. And those who wish will have the opportunity to travel not only during summer navigation, but also in winter.
The Legends of the Tundra project is being implemented within the framework of the Arctic tourist and recreational cluster, created in 2017 by the Norilsk Development Agency together with the municipalities of Norilsk and Taimyr, as well as Taimyr Nature Reserves united directorate. The cluster unites the territories of the Taimyr Arctic and implies the stage-by-stage development of infrastructure, the qualitative transformation of tourist services and the creation of new routes.
Earlier, we reported that the Norilsk project Territory of Putorana won a regional grant in the same competition in the amount of half a million rubles. With this money, the organization will purchase boards for SUP-surfing and a motorraft – a small inflatable boat for rafting on mountain rivers.
