In celebration of the 90th anniversary of Taimyr the Dorgoon children’s ethnic playground was opened in the Taimyr Oykumena ethnographic complex in the center of Dudinka. Translated from the Dolgan language, this word means ‘sound’.
The project was implemented by the Taimyr House of Folk Art within the framework of the competition for social projects of the World of New Opportunities Nornickel’s charity program.
The deputy head of Taimyr for education and culture Tatiana Druppova attended the opening ceremony.
“I congratulate the Taimyr House of Folk Art staff and all Taimyr people on the opening of this wonderful playground. I would really like to hear happy children’s laughter here as often as possible. I’m sure the guys will learn a lot of new things and certainly find new friends. I also want to thank all the creators of this unique project, the masters of the Taimyr House of Folk Art and everyone who was involved in its creation. I don’t want you stop at this, may the inspiration doesn’t leave you and our city becomes more beautiful thanks to such wonderful ideas”, said Tatiana Druppova.
As part of the holiday, the Travel to the Dorgoon Country game program was organized for the children, where they got acquainted with folklore characters, sports and art objects of the site, played national games of the indigenous peoples of Taimyr. On the playground, young northerners collected magic bells and made wishes. Their journey ended with a round dance of friendship.
