#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The club members have already become familiar with the peculiarities of Norilsk and Taimyr, improving their conversational English skills in the fields of history, biology, paleontology, geology, geography and ethnography. A new horizon is culture.
The club program Local History in English at the Norilsk Museum invites those who want to see, hear and feel the cultural heritage of the Arctic, while improving their English skills. Now participation in the club is available not only for children, but also for adults.
“Let’s look through time at how creators in harsh polar conditions put their talent and soul into art – into paintings and theatrical productions, into music, literature, architecture and even fashion”, they say at the Norilsk Museum.
The interactive component includes master classes, board and active games, and trips to the historical part of the city. In addition, members of the Local History in English club have access to museum collections for study, which are usually kept in closed storage facilities or on display.
The new Local History in English shift for adults and teenagers aged 14 and over will start on February 7 and end on April 11. The club’s classes will be held in the museum.
Earlier, This Is Taimyr wrote that the Taimyr Museum of Local History was launching a new online project.
