#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Taimyr Museum of Local Lore will once again gather guests at the Dancing Ice art festival on Saturday, June 1. The holiday is traditionally dedicated to a colorful natural phenomenon – ice drift on the Yenisey river, which, according to hydrologists, will begin in Dudinka just during the festival. It starts at 16:00.
The epicenter of the holiday will be the main entrance to the Taimyr Museum. Leading creative groups of the municipal region will perform here. Spectators will be treated to a vibrant concert program with fiery dances, cheerful songs, theatrical performances, and a display of modern clothing in the national style.
An ethnic camp will be organized on Embankment square next to the museum. Visitors to the national chums will be treated to real Taimyr fish soup and aromatic tea, and there will be games and quizzes. Those interested will be able to take part in national sports competitions, which will be held on the site next to the museum.
And in the institution itself, on the ground floor from 16 to 18 hours, master classes will be held and a fairy tale with the orchestra The Journey of the Blue Arrow will be broadcast from the Moscow Philharmonic hall.
A day earlier, on May 31, employees of Arctic museums, historians, art historians, local historians and representatives of the tourism industry from different cities of the country, under the auspices of the Union of Museums, will hold a discussion on the topic Event Tourism as a Factor in the Development of Arctic Territories and Their Cultural Integration.
Earlier, Taimyr Telegraph reported that ice drift in Taimyr is expected on June 2.
