#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. With their creations, northern craftsmen can attract the attention of young people to the dissemination of traditional folk crafts and inspire them to be creative.
The event’s goal is to tell people about the cultural potential and creative self-realization of the Far North craftsmen, to awaken interest in the culture and crafts of indigenous peoples. The meeting of craftsmen will allow them to exchange experiences and share knowledge with young people, to interest young men and women in crafts.
The founder of the festival is the Taimyr administration, as well as the Department of Culture of the municipal district. The initiative was supported by the Arctic Culture Center, the Committee for Culture, Youth Policy and Sports of the Dudinka administration.
The festival will be held from September 1 to December 25. Craftsmen working in the field of folk art crafts and decorative and applied arts can become participants.

One participant can submit up to three of their works that have not previously been exhibited at the festival in the period from 2022 to the present day. The creations should be made in the ethnic style of folk arts and crafts, including those of indigenous peoples.
You can submit your works for participation in the festival in the following categories: Artwork Made of Bone; Artwork Made of Beads; Artwork Made of Leather and Fur; Traditional Doll, Toy and Accessories.
The submitted creations will be assessed according to the following criteria: compliance with the given theme, the work’s artistic level, the idea’s originality, the execution technique’s complexity (details are specified in the festival regulations).
Participants will be awarded with commemorative diplomas, and institutions that have provided the largest number of works by masters of artistic crafts and decorative and applied arts for the exhibition will be awarded a commemorative gift.
