#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Kirill Peskov from the city of Nazarovo will participate in the SpaceX Crew – 10 mission aboard the Dragon spacecraft.
According to NIA Krasnoyarsk, the launch from the Kennedy space center in Florida is set for March 12. The mission will feature commander Anne McClain, pilot Nicole Aunapu Mann from NASA, and two researchers: Takuya Onishi from JAXA (Japan) and Kirill Peskov from Roscosmos.
Notably, 34-year-old Kirill Peskov was born in Kyzyl and graduated from high school in Nazarovo. After studying at the Ulyanovsk aviation school, he worked as a second pilot on a Boeing 757, initially flying for Nordwind Airlines before moving to a Krasnoyarsk airline.
In 2017, Kirill Peskov applied to join the cosmonaut corps and successfully completed all the necessary evaluations. In December 2020, he was certified as a test cosmonaut. In July 2024, he was appointed as the backup for his colleague Alexander Gorbunov, who traveled to space in September of last year as part of the Crew-9 mission.
