Custom-made, innovative constructions are lightweight and make manual labor easier.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Copper plant hosted a presentation of innovative industrial exoskeletons that work due to the special materials tension that help a person perform hard physical labor.

At the presentation, Vostok-Service enterprise presented the latest models developed by Nornickel’s order: X-soft, X-soft Lady and X-rise.

These models belong to the textile-model group, are worn over overalls and are almost not felt during work due to their low weight.

The X-soft exoskeleton is designed for physical work that involves back and lower back tension: these are all types of loading and unloading operations, conveyor production and the heavy loads transfer.

The exoskeleton, with the help of its design, redirects the load from the musculoskeletal system to the strongest muscles of our body – legs, reducing the risk of back injuries to almost zero.

Since women are also employed in production, the company has developed a special modification of the X-soft Lady, taking into account female anatomical features.

Musculoskeletal system diseases are one of the most common reasons for employees to go on sick leave or leave work altogether. The company is ready to make every effort to keep its employees healthy.

X-rise is an exoskeleton designed for the upper body that takes stress off the shoulders and puts the weight on the hips. It is used for work where it is necessary to constantly raise your hands and keep them in a tense position. These are, for example, welding and repair work, conveyor and assembly production.

All exoskeleton materials are refractory, antistatic, withstand five seconds of open flame. Now they are being used at Nornickel enterprises in a test mode.

Earlier, the Russian president Vladimir Putin got acquainted with the Nornickel’s exoskeletons. This Is Taimyr also reported that the company’s Polar Division is testing a deep-seated radar, which allows obtaining data on rocks occurring at a depth of up to 50 meters. Nornickel and the Moscow Innovation Cluster have opened a call for applications for participation in Industry Tech 2022, a competition for innovative developments for the mining and metallurgical industry. The company also showed the students of the capital the metallurgy future technology.
