#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Nornickel company and the Moscow Innovation Cluster have opened a call for applications for participation in Industry Tech 2022, a competition for innovative developments for the mining and metallurgical industry.
The competition main areas are new materials, information technologies and artificial intelligence, green technologies, solutions for hydrogen energy, battery technologies and technologies in construction.
“Technological competitions of the Moscow Innovation Cluster have been helping to unite the start-ups’ needs and the corporations’ requests on one platform for several years now. This cooperation format benefits both parties. Industry Tech 2022 will not be an exception: in addition to the pilot projects, the finalists will receive an invitation to the IN’HUB International Forum of Innovators, which will be held in October 2022”, commented Alexey Fursin, of the Moscow Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development Department head.
Projects with a finished product, prototype or MVP (Minimum Viable Product), as well as teams of inventors are invited to participate. They need to fill out a questionnaire describing their project’s details and benefits. Those who are interested can apply for participation on the i.moscow digital platform until September 11th.
The Moscow Innovation Cluster works with technological development in the capital. The cluster includes more than 35 thousand organizations from Moscow and 81 regions of Russia. Nornickel has been providing systematic support to innovative developments for several years.
“The topic of innovative developments is a priority for Nornickel. We constantly pilot a huge number of developments and inventions at our site to solve production problems. We are talking about physical hardware and IT solutions. We are constantly looking for innovative ideas, and technological competitions such as Industry Tech provide great opportunities to get acquainted with the world’s leading developments”, commented Igor Kustarin, the Nornickel Innovation Development Department director.
We add that since 2019 the company has been holding an engineering marathon IMAKE for schoolchildren. And this year, for the first time, there will be a competition and a forum of innovators IN’HUB.
