#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. A presentation of the book The History of Norilsk in Comics took place at the Rodina cinema complex. 100 copies were published thanks to the victory in the grant competition Krasnoyarsk Territory by students of the comics and manga studio Aisun Sadygova and Marianna Chelyada.
“We have been moving toward this event for eight years, since the founding of our association. We thought that the book should be not only interesting, but also useful, and dedicated it to the history of our city. A lot of effort and creative potential was put into the collection, and I am proud that today we are presenting these books”, said Nikolay Nadezhin, the founder of the art circle.
The collection includes drawn stories about how Norilsk developed, and reflects the most significant events of the city: how the townspeople greeted the news of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, how the coat of arms with a polar bear appeared, how a collection of poems by the Dolgan poetess was published, and much more.
The authors of the stories were students of the art club and the studio teacher.
Some of the books were donated to libraries and schools in the city with the aim of introducing the original art to more children.
Nikolay Nadezhin expressed confidence that the published comic book dedicated to the city is not the last, because talented Norilsk youth still have many unrealized plans and ideas.
Earlier, we reported that schoolchildren from Norilsk conquered Siberia and Indonesia.
