#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. From July 26 to August 1, the Northern Land Art festival will take place on the territory of the Ol-Gul ski base. This unique project will acquaint Norilsk residents with the new and popular art of working with natural materials.
On the eve of the fifth anniversary festival Northern Berry, ten professional teams from Moscow, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Chelyabinsk, Angarsk, Irkutsk, Kazan will create sculptures from natural stone on the Ol-Gul eco-trail.
“The project was conceived to form park culture and urban public spaces for comfortable recreation of Norilsk residents and the development of a tourist destination in the region”, the organizers said.
Any resident of Norilsk can become a participant in the project. Volunteers are invited to be acquainted with the technique of making art objects and assist artisans.
“To do this, you need to write your contact information (full name, phone number and e-mail) to the e-mail address gck.dcla@mail.ru with Land Art Volunteer mark”, the organizers noted.
The park of art objects will be opened during the Northern Berry festival. The city residents and guests will be able to vote for their favorite sculptures.
The project is being implemented by the City Cultural Center with the support of the World of New Opportunities charity program of the Nornickel company.
