#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Arctic Development Project Office board chairman Nikolay Doronin, said that in 2023, an electronic Red Book of the Arctic will appear in Russia.
The expert informed the Goarctic portal about the problem of correlation of categories in international, national and regional Red Books.
“The situation with the view in the region may differ from the situation in the territory of the entire habitat in general or in the state territory”, said Nikolay Doronin.
The separate Arctic Red Book creation will relieve the need to use nine regional publications. Five regions are just partially included in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, so the data on the northern territories in their Red Books can be insufficient. The digital Red Book will include a database and a site.
Earlier, Taimyr’s scientists created a new book about the flora and fauna of the peninsula, in the Taimyr reserves directorate you can buy a unique book about Putorana plateau insects, the Russians raised funds for the Fairy Taimyrs rare legends publication.
