#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. In honor of the Dikson village defense in the Great Patriotic War’s 80th anniversary, the 21st students’ tourist rally was held in Taimyr. 13 teams spent three days 29 kilometers from Dudinka, in the area of the Suhoi Log river.
“Such events take place here both in the rain and in light snow, so I am glad that today there are many young wonderful guys who are united by the idea of tourism. Tourism is a special human life mode. Believe me, you will carry memories of such events through your whole life. Of course, every team wants to wish victory, but, unfortunately, this is impossible. Therefore, whoever wins, we will rejoice for him, and those who lose – do not be upset. After all, all of you are united by friendship”, said Taimyr deputy head Andrey Shopin during the tourist rally grand opening.
During the three competitive days, the teams showed their skills in the following nominations: Control and Touristic Route, Pedestrian Distance, Orientation, Competition Program and Tourist skills and everyday life.
According to the competitions’ results winners were awarded with diplomas, cups and valuable prizes, including sports sweaters, thermal circles, backpacks, stoves, portable audio systems, bags, thermophone. And the guys who distinguished themselves in the gourmets’ competition received sweet prizes.
