#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The gastro show’s author and host Anton Zaitsev invited a man who knows how to handle fire and even tame it – a firefighter with 30 years of experience from Norilsk Oleg Pilyugin. He shared a recipe for chicken sticks with vegetables, mushrooms and eggs on the grill – the dish is called maracas, or lollipops.
While cooking, Oleg Pilyugin talked about his work – a firefighter went from a student to a squad leader:
“Fire can be a friend, it can be an enemy, or it can be an uncompromising judge. In this life there is always a place for heroism, but someone just visits such places, while someone works there”.
The Norilsk firefighter enjoys windsurfing, paddle boarding, and freediving. Together with like-minded people, he created the Lama Location project – a base with a full life support cycle powered by solar energy is being created at the lake. In addition, this year firefighters launched the world’s only volunteer fire boat on Lama.
