#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. More than 30 interactive platforms and locations of various types, a food court, photo exhibitions and photo zones, VR demonstrations, and a bookcrossing point were organized for Norilsk residents.
Qualifying rounds in arm wrestling, kettlebell lifting and power extreme among men and power combined among women were held on the square.
On the main stage, there was a defile of the Perky Berries contest participants, the city creative teams concert program, a Berry Warm-up from the Absolutely You fitness and yoga studio, in which everyone could participate.
This year, the theme of the festival was healthy lifestyle and ecology. At the Healthy Lifehacks lecture, the festival guests had the opportunity to discuss how to maintain health while living beyond the Arctic Circle with the Norilsk medical prevention department head Valery Potapov.
At the Berry Lecture Hall, environmental specialist Anastasia Merzlyakova spoke about the impact one person has on the environment state and the dangers of overconsumption and excess packaging.
During the day, creative workshops on needlework, arts and crafts worked. The festival guests made memorable souvenirs with their own hands: eco-napkin holders and glass holders, brooches and hairpins, knitted pot holders. In the museum square, new bird feeders were made.
At the Raspberry site, the Norilsk Museum employees, together with the townspeople, made “musical” instruments from improvised means. Later, the impromptu orchestra performed a berry-themed song on the main stage.
In the video hall of the Rodina cinema complex, documentary environmental films on the waste recycling and saving animals topic were shown.
For the little guests of the berry festival, games, relay races, the First Berries Tales loud readings, the Berry Fresh quest game, a master class in sand animation and shooting an environmental animation video.
As before, thanks to the festival’s partner, the Russian Post, at the Berry Hello site, everyone signed and sent postcards depicting northern berries.
