#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Yenisey Express, a socio-cultural project, will once again travel through the Krasnoyarsk region. It started off on February 17 from Sosnovoborsk and will conclude on April 15 in the village of Severo-Yeniseysky.
The cultural team of the Yenisey Express will stop in 14 towns across the north, south, west, and east of the Krasnoyarsk region.
It will arrive in Norilsk on March 27, and will visit Dudinka on March 28.
This annual project involves participants of the creative team covering a vast distance to bring experiences to Krasnoyarsk region remote areas’ residents – experiences that are often only accessible to those living in the regional center.
“In the 15 years since the Yenisey Express project began, we have organized 1 236 events attended by nearly 314 000 people. The residents of the region truly appreciate this project and look forward to it each year. This year’s program is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. I believe that our cultural and educational project will unite the residents of the region, strengthen their patriotic spirit, and remind everyone of the great feats of our homeland’s heroes”, said Arkady Zinov, the minister of culture.
All events of the Yenisey Express are free to attend. For more details on the schedule and program, please visit the website.
The first Yenisey Express journeyed through the Krasnoyarsk region in 2010 and is a continuation of the regional project Wandering Cultural Capital.
