#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Dudinka hosted festive events dedicated to the International Day of the World’s Indigenous People. The representatives of five Taimyr ethnic groups – members of family clubs and communities of indigenous peoples of Taimyr, members of ethnic folklore groups, city organizations and cultural institutions employees, residents and guests of Dudinka attended the events.
In honor of the holiday, the Taimyr people were awarded certificates of honor from the district head and letters of thanks from the agency for the development of the northern territories and support of the indigenous peoples of the Krasnoyarsk region.
Concert performed by the Araduoi – the Dolgan song choir, the Evenk ethno-folklore group Yukte, the choreographic groups Taptalym and Ya Val, soloists Vitaly Porotov, Olga Porotova, Lidia Palchina, Marina Zharkova and other artists accompanied the solemn part of the holiday.
On the Embankment square of Dudinka there were shopping stalls, an exhibition of decorative and applied art by Valery Davinduk from the Hantayskoye Lake village, and the most active Taimyrians took part in competitions in national sports, games and contests.
