#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Almost half of the Russians surveyed consider the Arctic a good place to travel. This is indicated by the results of a study conducted by the NAFI analytical center with the support of the Council for the Development of the Far East, Arctic and Antarctic under the Federation Council.
“Almost half of our fellow citizens (45 percent) say that the Arctic has favorable conditions for traveling. Moreover, young people (12 percent) are twice as likely to call them very favorable than other Russians (6 percent)”, TASS quotes the results of the study.
At the same time, 96 percent talk about barriers that prevent travel to the Arctic regions. For 61 percent, it is the harsh climate, for 39 percent, it is the remoteness, for 33, it is the high cost of travel and accommodation, and for 32, it is complex transport routes. Another 27 percent doubt their own safety when traveling to remote areas where there are no quality medical services.
