#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The virtual hall of the Talnah library was recognized as one of the winners in the All-Russian competition for the best practices of virtual concert halls. The prize of 250 thousand rubles will be used for purchasing additional technical equipment.
Virtual concert halls (VCH) are being created throughout Russia as part of the national project Culture. Using modern equipment, they allow you to broadcast significant cultural events taking place anywhere in the world.
The competition participants were evaluated in three categories – Independent VCH Best Practice, VCH System Best Practice and Best Project Office. The Talnah city library became winner in the first category. As a prize for winning the competition, the library will get 250 thousand rubles, which can be used to strengthen the virtual concert hall’s technical base.
The virtual hall in Talnah has been operating since 2020, and three quarters of its shows are dedicated to classical music. Each show becomes part of a thematic lesson. This year, a master class on DJing was held there, where high school students were asked to give a new sound to classic melodies. Teachers from the art school and members of creative groups take part in such meetings; there is a digital piano in the library for their performances. At meetings with young people, virtual reality equipment and the music video game Maestro VR are used.
