Valentina Matvienko takes working trip to Norilsk

The Federation Council chairman visited enterprises and social institutions of the city.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, at the head of the delegation of the upper house of parliament, is on a working trip to Norilsk.

The SF speaker’s schedule includes a meeting with the region and city’s leadership, and city-forming enterprise, visiting Nornickel production sites and the city social institutions. Communication with representatives of large families and labor dynasties is also planned.

The Federation Council chairman will get acquainted with the progress of the city socio-economic development comprehensive plan implementation, carried out on the principles of public-private partnership. The document, which provides for the measures to renovate the housing stock, modernize housing and communal services infrastructure and social facilities until 2035, was developed in accordance with a quadripartite agreement between the federal, regional and city authorities and MMC Nornickel based on the results of the Federation Council resolution adopted in 2020 – On the Socio-Economic Development of Norilsk, Krasnoyarsk Region.
