#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. In the Krasnoyarsk flora and fauna park Royev Ruchey, polar bears Ursula and Yermak were invited to swim in the open water and had a photo session.
The pools were installed for the bears right in the enclosures. Polar predators enjoy their favorite procedure. The bears have been waiting all winter for such happiness, they say in the zoo.
“Water is part of their life, they are called Ursus maritimus in Latin, which means “sea bear”, park employees write on the Telegram page. “Special toys were also placed in the pool for the bears. What happened next? It can be described in one word – happiness. Bears now spend most of their time in the water, actively swim, dive, play, and when they see visitors, they try to flop into the pool with a running start, raising a bunch of splashes”.
Recall that a very young Yermak, the son of the Krasnoyarsk bear Commander Sedov, was brought to Krasnoyarsk from Gelendzhik in the summer of 2022. The beauty Ursula was taken from the village of Dikson where she looked for food in the garbage dumps, in 2019 the NordStar airline delivered the bear to the regional center.
Earlier, a special operation was held in Taimyr to save a polar bear, he was sent to the Moscow Zoo. Before that, in the village of Dikson, they helped a young she-bear – her tongue got stuck in a tin can, and the predator went to people for help.
