#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Ministry of Eastern Development has summed up the development of the tourism industry in the Arctic and Far East for 2023. Experts estimate that the number of travelers increased by 40 percent, or 1.8 million people, in the 11 months of last year. This was announced by the head of the department, Maxim Reshetnikov.
At the same time, in the total number of tourist trips in Russia, the share of Arctic and Far Eastern trips increased to 8.6 percent – one percent more than in 2022.
Experts note that hotel occupancy is actively growing in the regions, new rooms are being introduced, and support measures are being implemented as part of the national tourism project.
We previously reported that the river tour to Dudinka became the most expensive in Russia – it is scheduled for August 2024. This year, flights to the North Pole should be launched in the Krasnoyarsk region.
