#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Vodohod company, which launched river cruises to Taimyr, plans to use the first electric catamarans on the Yenisey. Krasnoyarsk and Nizhny Novgorod will receive the first two catamarans of the electric propulsion series. The new vessels will enter the regular and recreational lines, and will also become a venue for events.
The Maxim Gorky ship will go on traditional expeditions along the Yenisey. In total, the company will launch five more cruises this season than last year – 24 ships. Of these, 13 motor ships are of the Vodohod class, seven motor ships are of the Vodohod Premium class, one luxury motor ship, two motor ships in the new Vodohod Light class and one high-speed hovercraft.
Sun decks of motor ships Konstantin Korotkov and St. Petersburg are equipped with awnings. Children’s rooms will appear on motor ships Lev Tolstoy and St. Petersburg. Children’s zones will also be expanded on the motor ships Felix Dzerzhinsky and Georgy Zhukov, additional rooms for classes with children will be organized here.
On Vodohod class ships, Wi-Fi will be available not only in public areas, but also in passenger cabins. Balconies will appear in the suite cabins on the Lev Tolstoy motor ship.
A large amount of work is also envisaged in terms of repairs on a number of ships – replacing flooring, updating furniture, improving the design and ergonomics of public spaces and restaurants.
