#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The anniversary, 30th exhibition of tourism and hospitality industry takes place from March 19 to 21 in Moscow, at the Crocus Expo international exhibition center, and promises to break the records of previous years in the number of invited guests.
The team of the Arctic tourism cluster speaks at the international exhibition of tourism and hospitality industry about the tourism potential of Taimyr. The stand of TC Arctic’s is traditionally decorated in the corporate style of the cluster and the tour operator counter in the form of an iceberg. It contains ethnic elements, a large tent, and all this is accompanied by the sounds of a harp.
Master classes on bone carving and traditional northern souvenirs will be held on 117 square meters for MITT guests at the tour cluster site. The highlight of the stand is real ice and the guides’ stories about the purest, crystal clear water of lake Lama. Employees of the City Folk Art Center and the Taimyr House of Folk Art and entrepreneurs are working at the exhibition.
Perfumer Alexey Boltachev and glass artist Anna Antipenko will share their creations and will delight guests with decorations in the form of northern berries. Anastasia Surgutskaya will demonstrate pottery and dishes with a Taimyr theme, and Sergey Serbin will treat visitors to coffee with venison and northern berries. Guests will also meet the creator of “miner’s ice cream” and chocolate with fish, Nina Fedotova. Representatives of the Arctic tourism cluster and their partners are working at the exhibition: tour operators Territory of Putorana, Lama-Tour, Panarctic Star, Anabar-tour. The Hatanga Mammoth Inn hotel and NordStar airline will also be represented.
“TC Arctic does not participate in the international exhibition of tourism and hospitality industry every year. It was decided that the right thing to do would be to alternate between hosting your own event and participating in MITT. Last year in Norilsk we organized our own exhibition of domestic tourism – In the Center of Taimyr – and this year we are returning to the external arena to tell the representatives of the tourism industry from Russia and abroad about our new routes and offers”, said Angela Tkachenko, head of the Norilsk Development Agency’s tourism development line.
TC Arctic prepared a video presentation about Taimyr, showing all the splendor of northern nature, polar bears and waterfalls, filming in the sky and in the depths of lake waters, sports routes and protected areas. You can watch the video on the official website of the international exhibition of tourism and hospitality industry MITT.
Let us remind you that last year 768 companies from 21 countries and 57 Russian regions became MITT participants, 44 companies participated for the first time. Then new sections appeared for the first time: glamping, health and medical tourism. The exhibition was visited by almost 15 thousand tourism industry specialists from 54 countries and 83 regions of Russia, which is 61 percent more than in 2022.
This year the MITT motto is: “Maximum practical information and benefits, without the fluff”. Thailand, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Egypt, China, UAE, Ethiopia, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Abhazia and other states and countries are participating in the expanded international exhibition. Every year, an increasing number of Russian cities are making themselves known. Leading operator companies for outbound and domestic tourism, host tour operators, national tourism offices, travel agencies, hotels, hotel chains are among the exhibitors.
The exhibition participants will undergo a series of training courses for tourism industry professionals with leading federal experts, and will also attend a practical session with an analysis of implemented cases and a discussion of issues related to working with grants.
