#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Yulia works as a crane operator at the Norilsk support complex. For three years in a row, she has been taking part in the competition as a solo vocalist and as a member of the Lollipop ensemble.
Since childhood, Julia is well acquainted with the works of Tchaikovsky, Bach, Mozart and other world classics. First, the girl graduated from a music school in Kayerkan, and after a while, when she became a mother, she began to instill in children a love for the melodies of Russian and foreign composers. At the same time, she did not forget about her love for vocals.
“I have always liked music. In it, I find a kind of relief from everyday affairs. My children adopted this love, so my daughters are studying piano and violin at a music school”, she said.
When creative and enterprising parents were offered to create their own ensemble at the Kayerkan Music School, Julia immediately agreed.
Today the Lollipop ensemble consists of six vocalists. Its repertoire includes songs of different genres: from rock to Russian folk music.
Yulia Topoeva learned about the opportunity to demonstrate her vocal abilities at the competition at work in 2019. The soloists of Lollipop without hesitation decided to take part in the Stars Corporation and became the winners.
In the pandemic year 2020, the competition was held online: Julia recorded her Winter Dream song solo performance on video. In addition, this year the Lollipop soloists performed the jazz canon Dum de Dum.
“We will definitely take part in the Stars Corporation next year. This competition shows what creative and talented people live in Norilsk. Despite their work, they do not forget about their hobbies and development”, noted Yulia.
